Sure Casey Kasem had American Top Forty and Steve Harvey has the Top 10 answers on the board for Family Feud but The Kendra Gale Band made it inside the Top 230 across Canada on CBC’s Searchlight.  That means that all across Canada, our friends and fans we don’t even know yet got us there.  THANK YOU!!

Now please support New Brunswick’s Tyler Hache who made it to the Top 25! Thanks again everyone!!

ECMWeek recap

Posted on May 3, 2016

ecmamas case

As we drove home from the ECMW we recapped all the things that we took in, participated in, stumbled onto and into and friends we met both new and old.  In a nutshell the weekend was a success for us.  We were lucky enough to share the stages with some terrific talent including Fellow New Brunswickers the Matt Landry Band, Jon Campbelljohn and Dan Doiron to name a few and were well taken care of by Scott Musgrave, John Ellingbo and Chris Kerr behind the sound boards.  We got a chance to hang with and entertain for the Terrific EC Mamas as promised and were included as the only Non Cape Breton act at The Holiday Inn Ballroom with a special guest appearance of the Mean Jean of Dancing Machine!

While we were running the roads having fun, playing and tipping a few jars, Momma G was tirelessly working the Buyers Room, shaking babies and kissing old ladies’ hands!  With a little inside help it seemed to be the most encouraging we have had yet!  Lots of positive leads, people recognizing the band and asking lots of questions.  It may have generated a good opportunity to for our next recording location!!

Lots of these things would not have happened if it weren’t for the extra support and help from some great people on the ground.  Special thanks and Love  to The EC Mamas, Debbie Mullins, Liz Healy, Nigel Kearns, Chris Kerr and the ever polite and courteous Mike Wadden.  Without all of you we wouldn’t have had such a great time!  Cheers!!

Fun times at the Red Herring Pub and planning for the future!

Posted on March 8, 2016

I'm with cropped

We always consider the Red Herring Pub as The Kendra Gale Band’s home and it sure was great to spend the weekend at home!  We love getting together with our friends and family, sharing new stories and new tunes with them.

This time was no different for sure!  Great crowds both nights and even a special guest on stage Saturday night with Sarah B counting in one of our newest songs like no one else could have except Dee Dee Ramone!

I'mwith group

Inspired by the workshop put on by Music NB a few weeks ago, we spent Saturday working on a few projects including grant proposals preparation, ECMW plans, promotional and merchandise ideas, tour plans and thoughts on the next KGB recording.

Some of the goals for this year:

New promotional media: Logo, Posters, Website, Videos, Merchandise

New venues: Breaking into Halifax, more house concerts, new cities for our two yearly trips to Ontario, new festival opportunities

Recording the new Material:  Finding the right studio, the right engineer and the right sound

Stay tunes Folks!!
